Marie-Christine Rivard - Lawyer

Ms. Marie-Christine Rivard holds a law licence (LL.B.) from the University of Sherbrooke as well as a master’s degree in American common law (LL.M.) from Loyola University Chicago.  

Admitted to the Quebec bar in 2011, she practiced in a specialized law firm that represents James Bay aboriginal companies and communities during important negotiations and transactions relating to energy and natural resources.  

Before joining Sodavex in 2016, Marie-Christine received a merit scholarship to complete a master’s degree at the University of Kent at Canterbury, which she completed with honours. Her master’s thesis focuses on public health and environmental policy concerns in the new generation of international investment agreements signed by Canada and the U.S., including the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement.
